Chris Froome
Christopher Froome is a British professional road racing cyclist. He is a 3-times winner of the Tour de France, and twice second in the Vuelta a España, being known as one of the most successful stage-racing riders of his generation.
He amassed five stage-race victories in 2013 leading into a dominant win at the 100th Tour de France. He won the prestigious Velo d’Or award for best rider of 2013 and was shortlisted for the 2013 BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award.
Chris was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2016 New Year Honours for services to cycling, subsequently being presented with the award by Prince William, Duke of Cambridge in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace in May 2016.
